With unpredictable restrictions across the globe hampering our usual travel plans, 2 Michelin starred chef Ciccio Sultano has worked out a way to bring a taste of his beloved island to your doorstep


From Sicily, with love - Ciccio’s shelf is now open and available for everyone. A beautiful array of the finest products, all hand-crafted in Ragusa, Sicily, will make the perfect gift for Italian food lovers everywhere, or perhaps just provide an indulgent addition to your own luxury store cupboard. Sicilian culture is embodied in Ciccio’s ingredients  (made of history and climate; of thinking heads and working hands) and is of fundamental importance to this passionate chef’s culinary history. At the top of the list, there’s the festive Italian classic Panettone. This traditional sweet bread has been created following a new recipe, perfected by Ciccio and Fabrizio Fiorani (Asia’s 50 Best pastry chef 2019) and made with a sourdough starter, leavened for 72 hours. The result is a  soft kilogram of rich delight for €37 (distribution starts from the beginning of December).

And so much more. Ingredients that celebrate equally the countryside and the sea, ready for the pantry, the stove or the oven: such as a Turiddu Pasta Kit (€35) - to recreate authentic Sicilian pasta at home - or stocking fillers like Cherry Tomato Sauce, Olive Oil Biscuits, Testa Conserve oil-cured products, Colzani jams and Modican chocolate of Bonajuto, to name just some.
 
Eco-sustainability is at the fore of what drives Ciccio’s produce and he only works with local suppliers using methods with zero environmental impact. Not only do they taste better, but they also sustain the island’s biodiversity and the livelihoods of local artisan producers. Suppliers such as Testa Conserve, a family of fishermen from the seaside of Ognina (Catania) with roots dating back to 1800; others from and around the town of Ragusa - family-run, small businesses that respect nature and put their heart and soul into what they do, to bring the finest flavours to your table.
